Ephesus in a few words... no way...
With lovers of archaeology, there are times we start at 9.00 & continue till 18.00 and still plan to come back the next day. Or, there are times we do it in only two hours, leaving many things & stories behind. For those of you who had already been to Ephesus, here is a very good excuse to revisit; the restoration work at "The Houses of Dignitaries" is complete... It is best... Really the best.

Other than Ephesus; the ancient city, in short driving distances, other locations to see are:
• Museum of Ephesus... a small museum with a fine collection of findings from ephesus / not overwhelming.
• Temple of Artemis... one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World / a temple dedicated to Artemis, dating back to 550 B.C. / not much left to this day.
• House of Virgin Mary... located appx 10 minutes uphill driving away from Ephesus / believed to be the last home of Virgin Mary.
• Basilica of St. John... ruins of a 1400 years old basilica dedicated to St. John.
• Sirince... located 20 minutes driving away from Ephesus, a lovely small local village up on the slopes of a hill.
• Kusadasi... 15 minutes driving away from Ephesus, a summer resort town by Aegean sea, the main cruise ship port of the area.

Ephesus in a day... yes, there are lots to see !
