The Kosagans:

Istanbulians know... Each year, we had a sailing cup by the end of summer; three best teams / boats were Vanessa, Odessa and Mistress. Mistress was never the first since Odessa & Vanessa were world standard boats with professional crew.
However, Mistress was always on the news... A well known architect as the captain of the boat who joins these races with her daughter, siding him.
Lale was hardly 10 in those years, this is how I first began to hear about her.
Years pass...
I became a tour guide, doing round tours Turkey and hardly finding time to be home.
There was this girl that I kept on seeing a lot where ever I go... obviously, as hard working as I am; tour guiding. I never knew who she was, never talked to her, never had seen her face completely since she always had a hat covering half of her face.
Then, one day, I joined a study programm, visiting ancient synagogues in Turkey. We had a bus loaded of people; driving from one synagogue to the other for 3 days.
The 'girl with the hat'; Lale was in the same bus.
My first attempt was not successful... I offered her peeled pistachios... she made it very clear that she dislikes pistachios !
It was the last day of the trip... driving a long way back to Istanbul and she was again surrounded with other people behind the bus. Thinking that she would eventually get back to her seat, I sat down to the next seat, waiting for her... waiting & waiting and finally, I was asleep.
I do remember her waking me up... quite angry, saying: " my coat is not your pillow " !!!
Ups... terrible, did I really... trying to wake my brain up and at the same time saving the moment, words came out from my mounth: " hhmm... couldn't resist, your coat smelled soooo nice ".
Words are coming out from my mouth but my mind says 'stop... not cool, she will kill you !' expecting her to be more angry...
She smiled... pushed me to the side and we had spent the rest of the day talking, all the way back to Istanbul.
We got married two years later.
Ilayda came first, on March 1996; an angel she was... still is.
Melodi (Melody) was born on April 2007; 11 years after Ilayda !

What can I say... ours is perfect marriage...
being tour guides with heavy schedules, Lale & me... we hardly see each other.
This may explain why we had to wait for over ten years for our second baby girl !
